Why not build in a pulsing layer that forces the blood flow throughout the body regardless of the position of the user using a small pump system, an accelerometer, and a battery pack. It could even heat them with another sensor and a small safety coil.

Shoot, just use rolling tumblers in series from the back and wrap them around the body, and head, position the battery pack for easy access while in the ship, and if possible attach them to outside power to charge while you sleep, or with mech. movement could recharge the battery.
